The Crowning Story is a visual snapshot of the past 12 years of MWK's career. A fascinating mix of promotional videos, TV appearances,  interviews, and live footage from all over Europe and across America... filmed in small clubs to large concert halls. From the early days of  The Good Sons (seen here in concert, on TV, and in the promo video for the song Riding The Range with Townes Van Zandt ), through to his countless solo treks around the world, and on to his collaboration with Jackie Leven, who produced the 2003 album, A Decent Man, and with whom Michael formed The Decent Men in 2004. The DVD closes with live footage from the 2005 tour of America and an on stage perfomance with former Byrd and Flying Burrito Brother, Chris Hillman.

The dvd contains 25 film clips plus a commentary from Michael relating to each clip. Explaining “the when”, “the where”, “the how”...... and even “the why” on some occasions.
